Meet Barbara Lewin

Barbara Lewin, RDN, CSSD, LDN is an internationally recognized sport nutritionist and functional (holistic) nutritionist. Barbara went to the University of South Florida and Florida International University, she completed a 900 hour internship and has a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is board certified in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and is a registered and licensed dietitian, along with being on the U.S. Olympic Registry as a Sports Dietitian/Nutritionist. Barbara is a member of SCAN (Sports and Cardiovascular Practice Group), a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and a member of the Integrative Nutritionists practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. For over 25 years she has been teaching athletes effective and realistic ways to improve their health, optimize performance and successfully manage their weight. She has worked with elite athletes and Olympic contenders all over the world, showing them how to get an edge on the competition. She enjoys counseling athletes of all abilities and ages.

Barbara has worked in a wide variety of settings including the National Institute of Health, University of Virginia, Pritikin Longevity Center, Kaiser Permanente, adjunct professor at James Madison University in Virginia and with Johns Hopkins University.
